BEYØND

Environment for music / Live visual performances for concerts, festivals, clubs, and cultural events.

BEYØND creates immersive visual environments where music is transformed into light in real time. Through projection, movement, and intuitive interaction with sound, each performance becomes a temporary atmosphere shared with the audience.

It is a live artistic practice where sound, visuals, space, and imagination meet within one shared experience.
What is BEYØND?
BEYØND is a live visual performance
practice that transforms the emotional
structure of music into visual atmosphere.
Each performance is created in real time
through light, projection, movement, and
spatial sensitivity. The work responds to the music as it unfolds, shaping an
environment that exists only in the moment and disappears together with the sound that gives birth to it.
TWO POINT PERSPECTIVE
Space & Time: YARAT Contemporary Art Space / 2016
Format: A/V Performance
Technical solutions: Face2Face 2X Projectors, half-transparent net screen
Impact: Audience 400+
YARAT Contemporary Art Space presents Two Point Perspective Visual Experience Vol.2 by Beyond the Scope with participation of Emin Mathers & Orkhan Mammad (Origraphy), music by George Effe in frame of YARAT Freestyle project.
Multitasking artists, free spirits who love life and enjoy exploring new art dimensions. Our art is an interpretation of our vision of life and surrounding world. Visual performances help us to express our understanding of music and establish a special connection with public.
The process is a real-time transformation of sound into emotional impressions and visual forms emerging within my inner vision. Through light, projection, and movement, these impressions are translated into space and shared with the audience.

Unlike my photographic and installation works, which aspire toward permanence and the possibility of being encountered by future generations, these performances exist only in the present moment. They are intangible compositions of light, atmosphere, and perception, appearing and disappearing together with the music that gives birth to them.

It raises fundamental questions about gender relations, explores philosophical assumptions about human nature, and considers the possibility of new social practices, which will bring about greater equality and mutual understanding.
What BEYØND brings to an event?
For festivals and cultural events
BEYØND adds a distinctive visual identity and transforms the performance into a memorable spatial experience.

For musicians, DJs, and performers
The light does not simply decorate the stage. It listens, responds, and expands the emotional presence of the music.

For venues and producers
BEYØND adapts to the architecture, atmosphere, and technical possibilities of each space, creating a unique environment rather than a repeated visual template.

For the audience
The performance deepens immersion, making the music not only something to hear, but something to enter, feel, and remember.
From 2017 to 2022 the path toward BEYØND unfolded through
years of exploration between two seemingly distant worlds: techno
culture and photographic art.
Within underground electronic music environments, visual imagery gradually dissolved into pure rhythm, color and intensity. Working
primarily with moving beams of light, the focus shifted from representation to sensation. At the same time, photography was a parallel search for
a personal visual language and artistic philosophy.
The complete shape of practice emerged when these two directions converged. Invited to create visuals for an electronic music event following an art exhibition opening, I recognized patterns of the preparation
process—the visual research, collection of footage, and artistic
reflection—and the live performance itself where the spirit manifests.
In that moment, the format became clear: BEYØND was not simply visual accompaniment to music, but a live artistic practice where sound, light
and imagination meet within a shared experience.

CRUEL, NAUGHTY

The synthesis of traditional fire rituals with avant-garde sound and visuals calls you to face and renew your inner oppression.

VOICE OF THE CITY

Space & Time: Azerbaijan Film Studio / 2026
Format: World Urban Forum pre-opening event
Technical solutions: Projector illuminating 15 X 8 M concrete wall
Impact: Audience 500+
Within the framework of a one-hour live performance, Emin created a real-time visual composition synchronized with the rhythm and motifs of
the DJ set, using fragments of archival footage from Baku and its residents taken from iconic films produced by Azerbaijanfilm during the 20th century.

On a secondary visual layer, these scenes were connected with psychedelic animations created both by the artist himself and contemporary digital artist Jake Fried. By merging two seemingly incompatible visual worlds, the performance opened a fresh perspective on imagery deeply familiar to the local audience, transforming collective memory into a contemporary audiovisual experience.

GALAXY by
Asmar Behbudova

Space & Time: Kapellhaus Baku / 2026
Format: Neo-classic music concert
Technical solutions: Projector illuminating 12 X 12 m wall
Impact: Audience 100+
Practicing light installations primarily in collaboration with electronic music for many years, I had been inspired for a long time by the idea of experimenting with classical music within a sacred architectural space. This vision finally found its place during the presentation concert of seven compositions by composer Asmar Behbudova, creating a dialogue between light, sound and the atmosphere of the kapellhaus, and it's semicircular arch of the stage became the ideal starting point for Cosmic forms and dynamics.
